What does it mean to raise a good dog?
Hi! I’m Kelsey. Welcome to my dog training & behavior practice!
I’ve worked in the canine wellness industry for over 15 years, which has given me a rare, hands-on insight into what it truly means to live with dogs. Paired with a Master’s in Health & Wellness Coaching (integrative nutrition minor), I mentor people to raise good dogs with calm, cooperative relationships.
A Well-Rounded Approach
Raising a good dog begins with a secure and fair relationship. My method is rooted in Relationship-Centered Training, pioneered by Suzanne Clothier. When we work together, you’ll learn to observe your dog closely and communicate in ways that feel clear, respectful, and effective. Just like human relationships, communication is often the biggest roadblock—and the same is true with our animal companions. The challenge is getting two different species on the same page.
I bring a practical perspective on commercially available products, from food and supplements to chews and toys. You’ll also learn ways to make your dog’s life more fulfilling than just a walk or two each day. I have a strong interest in how your dog’s body works and moves, and I can help you ask the right questions of your vet or bodywork professionals. Raising a good dog involves fostering compassionate awareness of your dog’s well-being.
